Co-Op Maintenance

Job Summary
Under the supervision of an experienced maintenance staff, the co-op maintenance tech will assist with a variety of tasks and learn essential skills to gain an understanding of how the building operates. This includes but not limited to: - Assisting with repairs, for example, patching, painting, and replacing items - Assisting with routine maintenance, for example, cleaning, dusting, and organizing the work area - Assisting with inspections, for example, routine inspections of the building and identifying potential problems - Learning about building systems, for example, operations of the building’s HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system - Learning about tools and equipment and how to use them safely and properly - Leaning communication and teamwork - Other duties the Maintenance Manger might assign

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
None
Equipment, Tools, Work Aids
Power tools, electrical meters, hand tools, charts, and blue prints.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Basic mechanical aptitude. Good communication skills. Ability to follow instructions. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC , and building and grounds repair.
