Provides administrative leadership for the Cancer Center personnel, controls equipment and supplies, assures quality control and safety of the Radiation Oncology and Chemotherapy/Infusion Departments. Maintains financial goals set forth by the organization. Promotes the growth and development of the Cancer Center Program in collaboration with Co-Medical Directors. Implements and updates the strategic plan through routine planning process.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5-7 years healthcare experience in a management/supervisory position.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: None
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Computer, practice management systems, standard office equipment, and patient therapeutic/clinical equipment.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS: Knowledge of radiation equipment, safety regulations, and billing. Knowledge of chemotherapy administration safety regulations and billing. Good communication skills. Good customer service skills. Good management skills/conflict resolution. Good ethical and professional conduct. Competency in general office management. Knowledge of The Joint Commission standards. Knowledge of OSHA/CDC regulatory standards. Knowledge of Performance Improvement principles and methodologies.
