RN Emergency Dept. (FT 7a-7p)

Provides professional nursing care through the assessment, treatment, and education of patients in accordance with physician’s treatment plans. 12 bed ED, with 2 trauma rooms. Physician and CRNP in ED at all times. Average 4:1 nurse to patient ratio.

SUPERVISED BY: Nurse Manager and/or Nursing Supervisor.

SUPERVISES:   LPN, ED Technician and Unit Secretary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Associate Degree in Nursing.
EXPERIENCE: No experience required
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Registered Nurse. BLS certification within 90 days of hire required. ACLS certification within 1 year of hire required. PALS and NRP certifications within 2 years of hire required.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Patient therapeutic equipment/machines or their reasonable accommodation.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of appropriate patient population growth and development.Patient Population Served:   Neonate (Newborn), Infant (3-12 mo.), Toddler (1-3 yrs.), Preschool (3-5 yrs.), School Age (5-12 yrs.), Adolescent (12-18 yrs.), Adult (18-70yrs.), Geriatric (>70 yrs.)

Full Time 7a-7p
(3) 12 hour shifts per week
Fri, Sat, Sun, Tues, Wed, Thur rotation
