Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)/ Physician Assistant (PA): Center for Advanced Care (Full Time)

PA/NP works in collaboration with a physician evaluating patients in the physician office setting. The Advanced Care Provider performs comprehensive health assessments including history and physical, procedures, places orders, interprets diagnostic and radiology tests, prescribes and reconciles medications, formulates a diagnosis and treatment plan, adheres to the quality metrics, and discharges patients with appropriate instructions or arranges transfer to a higher level of care as needed. This role includes the promotion of wellness, prevention of complications, and management of acute and chronic conditions. MUST provide excellent customer service at all times.

Hours: Day shift Monday-Friday

EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant program

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year experience post graduation

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Current Nursing License in the State of Alabama or current Physician Assistant License (ALBME), Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Maintains current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification and Maintains Continuing Medical Education requirements.

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: EMR System, Windows, General Office Equipment, Multi-line Telephone System, Glucose Meter, CBC Machine, Urinalysis Reader, Hemoglobin A1c Machine, Centrifuge, Immprint

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Nursing Practice Act Alabama Board of Nursing (ABON) or Physician Assistant Practice by Alabama Board of Medical Examiners (ALBME).
