Home / Rehab Coordinator (Full Time)
Job Summary:
Monitor and coordinate clinical service delivery and staff assignment of Physical Therapy personnel to TCU, IP and OP locations with respect to variable caseload /consults given clinical and operational priority. Coordinates with OT and SLP leads on clinical support staffing and assignments for overall service delivery and operational efficiency for the three skilled therapies (PT, ST, and OT). Serves as lead marketing point for ST, OT, PT and CR/PR to build and enhance skilled therapy referrals to increase business financial success and sustained patient caseload for optimal staff utilization. Leads and coordinates staff training, clinical orientation, skill development as well as ongoing continuing education and in-services for skilled therapy. Ensures clinical quality and performance improvement metrics are measured, monitored and enhanced to outcome expectations. Conducts all initiatives with respective therapy departments and leads in a collaborative manner seeking input or approval/direction of Rehab Director. Provide physical therapy patient evaluation, treatment, and care coordination/management including clinical direction of involved support staff. Estimated direct patient care time at 70-80% and administrative duties at 20-30%.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm + as scheduled weekends
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited physical therapy curriculum. Advanced business/leadership degree, training or experience.
EXPERIENCE: 5 recent years experience in physical therapy with at least 2 years in an outpatient setting. 2 years experience in management/supervisory role or equivalent skills.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Alabama Board of Physical Therapy License, Current BLS & BWR or within 90 days of hire required.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Office machines, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, patient therapeutic equipment/machines, personal vehicle.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Ability to perform supervisory, management, and business skills. Knowledgeable in regulatory and facility policies. Ability to work with patients from birth to geriatric; knowledge of medical terminology, clinical conditions, diseases, and injury; ability to solve diverse clinical and business issues with problem solving approach. Program management skills including budgeting, productivity, performance improvement, risk management, safety, infection control, marketing and public relations; knowledge of insurance policies and issues. Ability to periodically travel and meet with referral sources.
