Important Medicare Information for Russell Medical Patients

Beginning January 1, 2026, Russell Medical will no longer accept Humana Medicare Advantage plans*. We understand that navigating Medicare can be confusing, and we’re here to help you make a smooth transition to a plan that keeps your care with Russell Medical.

What You Need to Know

  • Russell Medical will continue to accept Traditional Medicare.

  • We also accept many Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans.

  • Several Medicare Advantage plans (excluding Humana) remain in-network:  Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Viva, Devoted, Aetna, Humana PEEHIP (in 2026), Oscar Health, Simpra, Cigna Health

  • Russell Medical will continue to accept employer sponsored plans such as PEEHIP, SEIB, and others.

What You Need to Do

Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15 to December 7, 2025. This is your opportunity to review your current plan and, if needed, switch to a plan that ensures continued care at Russell Medical.

To stay covered:

  1. Review your current plan and confirm whether Russell Medical is in-network.
  2. Explore other Medicare Advantage or Supplement plans that are accepted by Russell Medical.
  3. Make any plan changes before December 7, 2025.
