Central Scheduler (Full Time)

Job Summary:
Schedules all patients for diagnostic testing, treatment, or other procedures. Schedules all referrals to specialist and sends pertinent information to other providers. Pre-certification is acquired for any test or procedure when necessary. MUST provide excellent customer service at all times.

Full time with benefits in PMSG Clinics at Russell Medical in Alexander City, AL
Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-12:30pm

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Advanced clerical training preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Basic working knowledge of computers, excellent customer service with good verbal and written communication skills, 2 years medical office experience, knowledge of insurance regulations, collections, Medical terminology.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: None required.

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: EMR System, Windows, General Office Equipment, Multi-Line Telephone System, Credit/Debit Card Machine, Insurance Verification Software, Medical Necessity Software.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Good working knowledge of computer and keyboard operations as well as general office equipment; Capable of an accurate exchange of verbal and written information; Can write legibly and speak and read English; Knowledge of medical terms and exams/procedures.
