Job Summary:
Performs diagnostic radiology, mammographic and stereotactic localization procedures utilizing the necessary independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation in order to obtain diagnostic radiographs.
Location: Women’s Center
Full time with benefits
Hours: First shift Monday-Friday (40 hours per week)
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
EXPERIENCE: One year Diagnostic Radiology. One year Mammography experience preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: BLS certification will be obtained within 90 days of employment. Must be a Registered Technologist in good standing with ARRT. Prefer Mammography Registered Technologist in good standing with ARRT.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Diagnostic, mammographic and stereotactic equipment, computers.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of radiographic examinations (age specific), mammographic and stereotactic localization procedures, as well as procedures which require the use of contrast agents. Knowledge of radiographic, mammographic, and stereotactic biopsy equipment operation. Knowledge of Radiation Safety. Knowledge of patient transportation methods. Good communication skills. Good customer service skills. Good ethical and professional conduct.
