Home / MRI Technologist (As Needed/PRN)
Performs age specific Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures utilizing the necessary independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to administer contrast administration as necessary in order to obtain diagnostic MRI exams. *Primary in MRI, but could cross train to cover other Diagnostic needs in Radiology
PRN position with variable hours to work “as needed” per the department
Primarily between 7am-5pm
EDUCATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
EXPERIENCE: One year Diagnostic Radiology experience. Minimum of 2 years MRI experience to include MR Angiography preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: BLS certification will be obtained within 90 days of employment. Must be a Registered Technologist in good standing with ARRT. Prefer MRI Registered Technologist in good standing with ARRT.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: PACS and all related MRI equipment and computers.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of MRI examinations(age specific) as well as procedures requiring MRI specific contrast agents. Knowledge of various contrast and contrast reactions. Knowledge of Radiation Safety. Knowledge of MRI equipment and safety protocols. Knowledge of patient transportation methods. Good communication skills. Good customer service skills. Good ethical and professional conduct.
