Works in collaboration with a physician evaluating patients in the Urgent Care setting. The Advanced Care Provider also performs procedures, places orders, interprets diagnostic and radiology tests, formulates a diagnosis and treatment plan, and discharges patients with appropriate instructions or arranges transfer to a higher level of care as needed.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant program
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year experience post graduation
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Current Nursing License in the State of Alabama or current Physician Assistant license (ALBME). Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Maintains current CPR, ACLS and PALS certification. Maintains Continuing Medical Education requirements
