Home / Physical Therapist (As Needed/PRN)
Provide caseload management, clinical organization, clinical development, leadership, and clinical PT procedures and treatments for individuals and groups. Responsible for clinical oversight, management, and coordination of assigned LPTA, PT TECH, students and volunteers of PHYSICAL THERAPY department. Assists with development, management, coordination and oversight of RMC PHYSICAL THERAPY programs with Rehab Services Director guidance. Assists with program and operational development, implementation, monitoring of PHYSICAL THERAPY programs including performance improvement, policies, procedures, marketing and financial performance. Provides direct program marketing of service and maintains physician contacts to ensure success of department.
Employment is PRN which means hours will vary as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited PHYSICAL THERAPY curriculum with a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree.
EXPERIENCE: 1 year’s practical experience in PHYSICAL THERAPY – with proficiency in outpatient, orthopedic, and inpatient caseloads.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Alabama Board of PHYSICAL THERAPY License, Current BLS or BLS within 90 days of hire required. BWR and/or ARC Lifeguard within 180 days of hire.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Office machines, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, patient therapeutic equipment/machines.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Ability to perform supervisory, management, and business skills. Knowledgeable in regulatory and facility policies. Ability to work with patients from birth to geriatric; knowledge of medical terminology, clinical conditions, diseases, and injury; ability to solve diverse clinical and business issues with problem solving approach. Must possess program management skills including following budget, productivity, performance improvement, risk management, safety, infection control, marketing and public relations standards; knowledge of insurance policies and issues.
