Be a part of a team approach to patient care within the Cath Lab. The ideal candidate is a professional RN who has the following skill set; a dynamic RN with great knowledge/experience of a procedural, surgical and/or ED nursing background. Provides medical care as directed by the physician, and pursuant to the objectives and policies of the hospital, and the Cath Lab.
Dept Info: Around 1000 patients/ procedures each year. Each patient is cared for by a team. The team consists of the physician, CRNA if the physician requests, the RN, Scrub Tech, and Monitor Tech. We do balloon angioplasty, stents, ICDs and pacemakers. We can unblock vessels in the heart, extremities, kidneys. We do imaging of vessels from the brain down to the feet.
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of registered nursing with a current licensure in the state of Alabama.
EXPERIENCE: One to two years experience in general nursing desired. One to two years experience in critical care desired. Two years of Cath Lab experience required.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Current Alabama nursing license, BLS/CPR certification and ACLS certification required.
